The retail price for the online Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission course is $19.95. TABCpermit.com will run periodic specials and discounts. To receive email notification of these specials, contact us at info@tabcpermit.com.
First, you will create a student account by clicking on the Buy Now link on the home page. Registration only takes a minute or two. Once your account is created, you will enroll and purchase the program. Once you have purchased the seller training course, you can begin it at any time by clicking on the course title "TABC Seller/Server Certification Course" found on the My Account page.
The online TABC seller/server certification course is approximately 200 minutes in length (3 hours 20 minutes), which is the amount of time required by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. You are allowed to take up to six consecutive hours to complete the seller training course. For instance, if you start the TABC training course at 1pm, you must complete it by 7pm.
You can log out of the seller training course at anytime; however, please remember that you must complete the course within six hours as required by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Yes, by TABC regulation, each student must complete the final exam with a minimum score of 70%. If you do not pass the seller training exam on the first attempt, you may take it again immediately. If you fail the exam on the second attempt, you must retake the entire seller training course from the beginning at no additional charge before attempting the final exam again.
Once you successfully complete the final exam (passing score is 70%), you can immediately print your temporary certificate. Your official TABC seller/server training certificate will be mailed to you via USPS the following business day after you complete the course. You should receive your certificate within 5-7 business days. Your TABC seller training certification is active once you pass the seller training exam.
Your TABC seller/server training certification is still valid even if you lose your certificate. You can verify your TABC certification by visiting the TABC website at https://www.tabc.state.tx.us/datamart/searchTrainee.do. Click on the Certificate Inquiry link and then enter your social security number and date of birth to view your seller training record. If your certification is still valid in the TABC system, you can print that page as proof of your certification.
Yes, the system will detect if you are on a broadband connection or not. If you are on a slower connection, you will be enrolled in a "low" bandwidth version of the TABC seller training course. You can toggle between high and low bandwidth versions of the course by clicking the headphones icon located in the lower, right corner of the course.
The TABCpermit.com online seller/server training course will work on almost any computer with Internet access. Prior to beginning the course, our system will check your computer to ensure it meets the minimum requirements. If you computer does not meet these requirements, you will be instructed on how to continue.
